I LOVE THE BEGINNING!
I am a starter. I love the energy that flows in & around the beginning of projects. My first project was a brand called Skirt Sports. I created something that had never been done before - a running skirt. It turned into a 15-year stint, $40 million in sales & 100,000s of happy women around the globe.
The most important part? The 100,000s of happy women! Starting things is so much more rewarding when it makes a positive impact on the world, not just your world.
I also started a business that helps people preserve and share their stories (Aesop), podcasts (three of them), a non-profit that helps women change their lives through running (Running Start), a national race series, a skirt that allowed women to pee standing up, customer-led design initiative, a used clothing collective and countless other “brands within a brand.”
Today I am the CEO of Destination Coffees - we serve up delicious coffee to people in resort towns across the country. We’re the feel-good coffee brand that gives people an endorphin boost every time they take a sip - remembering their great adventures and anticipating the next!
